OVERVIEW CORBETT AND DUDHWA TIGER SAFARI TOUR
The Terai Arc Landscape (TAL), which spans 810 km and includes three Indian states—Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Bihar—includes Corbett and Dudhwa National Park. Wildlife corridors, which are a component of the reserved forest, link the protected areas in TAL to one another.
Asian elephants, one-horned rhinos, and tigers are among the most important wildlife populations. Numerous endangered species, like the Ghariyal, Bengal Florican, Gangetic Dolphins, Fishing Cat, around 600 bird species, and many more, can be found there.
This particular tiger safari excursion is intended for true nature lovers who are patient and persistent enough to wait for wildlife to approach them. The Forest Rest House, which is tucked away deep within the bush, offers a unique experience. During the British Raj, the Forest Officers frequented these rest houses. Despite the extremely basic accommodations, which include a restricted selection of food and a power supply, they are kept so intentionally. Experience the jungle for what it truly is, where luxury entails seeing tigers several times.
You will have the chance to see not only tigers but also the powerful Asian elephants and rhinos on this tiger safari tour in India. There are almost five hundred different species of birds in Dudhwa National Park. Examples are the Great Pied Hornbill, Black Necked Stork, Great Slaty Woodpecker, and Bengal Florican. In addition to its diverse biodiversity, Dudhwa is home to crocodiles and otters. It's fun to see the swamp deer in Bankey Taal. Thus, it is reasonable to assume that anyone looking for diversity in Indian wildlife will find a tiger safari in Dudhwa to be beneficial.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi
When you get to the New Delhi Airport, our representative will meet you. He will help you
check in and make sure your transfer to the hotel goes smoothly. You will receive and be given
an explanation of all your travel documents. Stay at the hotel for the night.
Day 02: New Delhi - Corbett (By road)
Visit Corbett National Park after enjoying a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation in New
Delhi. It takes roughly five hours to drive the 275 kilometers to the park. When you get there,
check into the Forest Lodge.
During the British Raj, the Dhikala Lodge was constructed by the English to administer and
regulate the forested area about a century ago. Their rangers needed to rest after a full day of
keeping an eye on the forest. These unique forest lodges are located in Corbett National Park.
Corbett is the only location within the National Park where lodging is available. With a view of
the Himalayan highlands, this complex is located on the banks of the Ramganga River.
Take an afternoon safari to one of India's most stunning national parks after lunch. The Lodge
exclusively serves vegetarian meals to keep any predators from smelling non-vegetarian food.
Alcohol consumption is also forbidden in the Lodge.
Return from the afternoon excursion at sunset. Accommodations and meals are offered by
Dhikala Forest Lodge.
Day 03: Corbett National Park
As the sun rises, begin your morning adventure. Corbett is the excellent definition of the country
of the Roar, Trumpet, and Song. Everyone wants to push the camera button because of Corbett's
magnificent and spectacular beauty.
An important distinction is that Corbett hosted the inauguration of Project Tiger in India. The
abundance of suitable habitat is one factor contributing to the Reserve's exceptional biodiversity.
Because the Reserve is situated on the foothills of the Central Himalayas, it is home to both
Himalayan and peninsular flora and fauna.
Dhikala for the night and food.
Day 04: Corbett National Park
Take a game drive in the park in the early morning and late afternoon. You will spend the night
and all of your meals in the Dhikala Forest Rest House.
Day 05: Corbett – Dudhwa
After breakfast, proceed from the Forest Rest House. The driver and car from Tiger Sight India
will be prepared to take you to Dudhwa National Park. Make a lunch stop at a nearby restaurant
while traveling. Go to your lodge when you get at Dudhwa. After lunch, head to the park for
your first afternoon safari. Meals and lodging at the lodge.
Day 06 : In Dudhwa National Park
To experience this natural beauty for the first time, go on an early morning game drive
throughout the park. Its rivers' alluvial soils and the Indo-Gangetic plains' inherent fertility give it
an unparalleled sense of lush, unadulterated beauty. This is an old forest, with Sal trees that are
more than 150 years old and reach heights of 100 feet! In addition to being a popular spot for
tigers and elephants, it is also one of the few places where the critically endangered One-horned
Indian Rhino can still be seen in its native habitat. A ride on an elephant to view rhinos in their
natural habitat will also be part of this.
After lunch, return back to your hotel to unwind before going on another afternoon game drive in
the park. After dusk, make your way back to your resort in time for supper. Spend the remainder
of the evening relaxing. meals and lodging at the lodge for the night.
Day 07 : Kishanpur National Park
Drive to the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary early in the morning. From Dudhwa, this will take
about twenty-five minutes. Particularly at this stunning body of water known as Jhaadi Tal,
Kishanpur is a birder's paradise. When it becomes colder, migratory birds from all around the
northern hemisphere converge here to spend the winter. It is a serene pleasure to drive around
this lake that joins the Sharda River. Simply ascend to the top of one of the watchtowers, ideally
number one, to take in the lake's migratory bird population, crocodiles, and swamp deer.
Both tigers and leopards may ambush in this area with success. Even though there isn't much of
this sanctuary that is open to tourists, the nicest thing is that you can take in more of the
watchtowers and take pictures from the hide that was made just for that reason. Spend the night
at the Lodge.
Day 08 : Kishanpur Sanctuary – Katarniaghat (90 kms/2 hrs drive)
You will be making the two-hour drive this morning to Katarniaghat, a nearby park, which is
around 90 kilometers away. Take a picturesque boat ride into the park's boundaries to witness the
endangered Gangetic Dolphin, Gharial Crocodiles, and a variety of birds. Swamps and marshy
wetlands in Katarniaghat are perfect for birds, and during the cooler months, you can discover a
variety of migrating bird species here.
The tiger, a number of smaller cats, and reptiles like pythons, sand boas, crates, and vipers can
all be found in Katarniaghat. Go back to Dudhwa and spend the night at the Lodge.
Day 09 : Kishanpur - Lucknow
To see the many varieties of deer that graze the sanctuary grounds, get up early and go on the
morning safari. Among the types of deer you see are swamp deer, spotted deer, hog deer, and
sambar.
This park is incredibly wonderful, with crocodiles lounging on the banks of Jhaadi Tal and the
possibility of spotting a leopard or tiger returning from an early-morning night hunt.
After a hearty breakfast, head back to the resort to check out. Take a ride in our chauffeur-driven
car to Nawabs, Lucknow. It should take you roughly four to five hours to complete the 340-
kilometer drive.
When you get to Lucknow, check into the hotel you reserved. To get through the remainder of
the day, take a power sleep!
Set off to discover this ancient city's charms. Don't pass up the chance to see its stunning
monuments, the dizzying mazes of the Bara Imambara and the Chotta Imambara. Before heading
