DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi
A Tiger Sight representative will be waiting for you in the airport arrival area with a name card
when you arrive at the New Delhi International Airport. The chauffeur will accompany him, and
an air-conditioned SUV will be waiting to transport you to your hotel. Our employees will be
available to help you with a quick check-in procedure when you get at the hotel and will also
supply any paperwork you need for the trip. You will spend the night at the hotel in New Delhi.
Day 02 : New Delhi – Nagpur – Tadoba (Flight + 100 kms/2-3 hrs drive from the airport)
Our representative will accompany you to the domestic airport early in the morning so you may
check in for your journey to Nagpur. A representative will receive you at the airport when you
arrive in Nagpur and transport you to Tadoba National Park. It will just take you 2-3 hours to
drive the 100 kilometers. Make sure to check into your lodge in time for lunch when you arrive.
Your naturalist will accompany you on your first game drive around Tadoba National Park this
afternoon.
One of Maharashtra's first national parks, Tadoba boasts a magnificent tiger population. Bamboo
and teak are its dominant species. It creates a corridor with Pench National Park, allowing tigers
to wander freely in plenty of room.
Day 03 - 04 : In Tadoba National Park
Take the safaris in the morning and afternoon to explore the park. Tadoba is one of the numerous
Project Tiger reserves in India and one of the biggest and oldest national parks in Maharashtra.
For spotted deer, striped hyenas, sloth bears, tigers, and wild cats, the deciduous forests provide
the ideal habitat. Tadoba's dawn is a bustling time of day as the park's daily residents come to
life. Before heading back to your lodge, you will do a complete circuit of Tadoba's habitat
because there is only one main track that runs through the whole park. Take a break and clean
up. Your evening game drive will take place in the park after lunch. Tadoba's nocturnal animals
and birds begin to come to life in the nights. Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner, then spend
the evening as you choose.
Day 05 : Tadoba – Pench (by surface, 250 kms, 5-hour drive)
Jeep safari in the morning, followed by lunch and a 5 hour trip of 250 kilometers to Pench.
Check into the Lodge when you arrive. At the Lodge for dinner and the night.
Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book was inspired by Pench National Park. Even though Kipling never
visited this area, it is said that the Pench Tiger Reserve and its surroundings served as the real
setting for his well-known novel. Sir William Henry Sliman's publication, "An Account of
Wolves Nurturing Children in their Dens," served as the inspiration for the Mowgli character. A
child was said to have been raised by wolves in the Satbavadi village, close to Seoni, in 1831.
The Vainganga River, the valley where Sher Khan was killed, the mountain ranges of Kannivara
and Sivani, and other sites depicted in The Jungle Book all match real places in the Seoni
district. The Ain-i-Akbari, R.A. Strenthal's "Sivni, Camp Life in the Satpura," James Forsyth's
"High Lands of Central India," and A.A. Dunbar Brander's "Wild Animals of Central India" are
just a few of the historical works that document the Pench Tiger Reserve's legendary past. The
Pench Tiger Reserve was the recipient of the 2006–07 National Tourism Prize’s coveted “Best
Maintained Tourist-Friendly National Park” Award.
Discuss the morning safari schedule with the staff. You may ask for a wake-up call if required.
Spend the night in the Pench lodge.
Day 06 & 07: Pench National Park
You should take the park safari in the morning and the afternoon on both days. Accommodation
at the Lodge for two days, which includes breakfast and dinner.
Since it is one of the most beautiful parks in central India, the word "Pench" connotes tranquility
and beauty. In addition to Kanha, it facilitates tigers' migration and sustains a flourishing cat
population. There are also a lot of leopards and a remarkable number of different kinds of birds.
The eastern half of the park and the western half are divided by the River Pench. An excellent
chance to witness the forest's transition into its nocturnal state is as the sun sets. Numerous
nocturnal animals and birds that are active after dark can be found in the Pench forest.
Day 08: Pench – Kanha National Park (130 miles/4 hours)
Tour the park with a guide first thing in the morning. After returning to the lodge for breakfast,
rest for a while. Following lunch, we'll travel toward Kanha National Park. The trip to this
location, which is 210 kilometers from Pench, will take you about four to five hours. When
visitors arrive, they will be taken directly to the Kanha safari lodge. You can spend the remainder
of the day as you choose, or you can even go to the local indigenous people's hamlet and talk to
them.
Day 09 – 11: In Kanha National Park
Enjoy a warming drink and an early wake-up call before embarking on a morning tiger safari
drive through the forest. There is a calm feeling as the sun rises over the hills and breaks through
the thick sal woods. Monkeys chatter, deer graze, and small animals dart through the underbrush
while the park is filled with the sounds of vibrant birds, creating a stunning spectacle.
In addition to India, Kanha Tiger Reserve is among the top areas in the world for protecting
wildlife. It is impossible to believe the captivating magnificence of this park without seeing it.
Listen to Kanha National Park while on a silent safari; it has a lot to say. The core of the Kanha
Tiger Reserve, created in 1974 as part of Project Tiger, is made up of 940 square kilometers of
rolling meadows, running streams, and sal and bamboo forests.
The difficult-to-find hardground Barasingha can only be found in the park. This is the actual
Kipling country that he so eloquently detailed in The Jungle Book. A packed breakfast from the
Lodge is placed on the safari vehicle's bonnet and served at a designated spot. Savor your
morning meal amidst the untamed bush.
Go back to the Lodge to change and have a quick lunch. Take a moonlight tiger safari after lunch
to experience what the forest has to offer.
After dusk, head back to the Lodge for dinner and relax for the remainder of the day.
Day 12: Kanha - Raipur (By road), Raipur - New Delhi (By flight)
After a morning tiger safari in the park, head back to the Lodge for a quick lunch and some rest.
Return to New Delhi by domestic flight from Raipur Airport. When you arrive in Delhi, our
representative will greet you and help you get to a hotel or airport so you may continue your
journey.
Day 13 : New Delhi – Agra (220 kms/4-5 hrs drive)
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, the trip to Agra can start. Your destination is 220
kilometers away, and it will take you about four hours to drive there. Check into the hotel as you
arrive. Then proceed to the Agra Fort, which rises like a crescent on the banks of the Yamuna
River and is composed of red sandstone. It is surrounded by strong walls that rise to a height of
20 meters, with a 12-meter-wide moat in between. With the help of three Mughal monarchs in
fast succession—Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jehan—this massive structure, which combines
Hindu and Muslim design elements, was built. Overnight stay at Agra Hotel.
Day 14: Agra – New Delhi (by surface – 220 Kms, 4-hour drive)
Take a morning tour of the Taj Mahal at sunrise. At sunrise, proceed to the Taj Mahal, a famous
white marble mausoleum constructed for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, by Moghul ruler Shah Jehan
in the middle of the 17th century. Approximately 20,000 laborers and skilled artisans from
Persia, Turkey, France, and Italy spent 17 years building this structure, which was finished in
1652. [On Fridays, the Taj is not open].
Take a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. After that, check out and make the 4 hour trip to New
Delhi, which is 220 km away. Transfer to the hotel as soon as you arrive. Stay overnight in a
hotel in New Delhi.
Day 15 : New Delhi Fly back home
After breakfast transfer to international airport to board a flight back home or onward
destination.
