Ranthambore is stunning in and of itself. The park is extremely rich in avifauna, with more than 300
different species of birds.
The area around Ranthambore is actually a birdwatcher's paradise. Among the many regular winter
migrants to Ranthambore and the surrounding areas are the following: Large Cormorant, Painted
Spurfowl, Sarus Crane, Bronzed Winged Jacana, Sandpiper, Kingfisher, Nighjar, painted Sandgrouse, Great

Covering 400 square kilometers, Ranthambore is distinguished by rocky hill crests that descend to wide

park is called for the fortress that rises over the woodland and dates back a thousand years.
Ranthambore is a unique and exceptional place where the natural world and the past collide. It is well
known for the Tigers' daily activities.
In addition to the elusive leopard and tigers, this reserve is home to Sambar, Cheetah, Chinkara, Nilgai,
and Langoor. During safaris, there is a reasonable chance that visitors will spot tigers. The terrain is
scattered with the crumbling remnants of its former grandeur, such as chatris or cupolas, palaces or
former guard stations, all of which contribute to the magnificent and ethereal quality of this enormous
wilderness.
